Privacy policy

Last updated: 13 October 2026. We handle your data with care and collect no more than we need to help you properly.

Who is responsible for your data?

Friesland Vloertechniek en Klussen, Jonkerspaed 19, 9064 KR Oudkerk, the Netherlands, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK) under number 42093659, is the controller for the processing described in this policy. Questions about privacy? Email [email protected] or call +31 6 34931333.

Which data do we process?

  • Quote form and contact: the details you fill in yourself — name, phone number, email address (optional), town or postcode, the services you are interested in, floor area, preferred timing and your message.
  • WhatsApp, email and phone: your name, phone number or email address, your messages and any photos of your home or floor that you send us.
  • When you hire us: the address where we carry out the work and the details we need for the quote, planning and invoice.
  • Visiting the website: technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the time of your visit. Our hosting provider processes these briefly to deliver and secure the website.

We do not ask for sensitive data (such as health information) or your citizen service number (BSN). Please do not send it to us either.

What do we use it for, and on what basis?

  • Answering your question and preparing a quote — at your request, prior to a possible agreement (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
  • Planning and carrying out the work, invoicing and after-sales service — to perform the agreement (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
  • Keeping our accounts — legal obligation, such as the tax retention obligation (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR).
  • Securing the website and showing our work and reviews — our legitimate interest in a safe website and in presenting our work (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). You may object to this at any time.

We do not use your data for advertising, newsletters or profiling, we do not make automated decisions about you, and we never sell your data to others.

Reviews and photos of our work

On this website we show reviews that customers have published themselves on Google and Werkspot, with the name and town as shown there (often first name and initial). On the English pages these reviews have been translated; the original text is leading. We also show photos and videos of floors we have laid, without addresses or other details that identify the occupants. Would you rather not see your review, or something of your home, on our website? Let us know at [email protected] and we will remove it.

Who receives your data?

We only share data with parties that help us run our business, and only as far as necessary:

  • FormSubmit (formsubmit.co) receives the quote form and forwards it to us by email.
  • Google (Gmail) — our mailbox, where your request and emails arrive.
  • WhatsApp (Meta) — only if you choose to message us via WhatsApp. The “Via WhatsApp” button only opens WhatsApp; nothing is sent until you press send yourself.
  • Cloudflare hosts this website and processes technical data for delivery and security.
  • An accountant, if we use one, and the Tax Administration, for our accounts and tax returns.

Some of these parties are based outside the European Economic Area or may process data there. In that case they use safeguards approved by the European Commission, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.

Links to other websites

This website contains links to, among others, WhatsApp, Google Maps, Google reviews, Werkspot, Instagram and Facebook. Nothing is loaded from those services until you click such a link. Once you visit them, their own privacy and cookie policies apply.

Web designer’s contact form

The “Website by Pixelwerf” link in the footer opens a contact form from the designer of this website. What you fill in there goes via FormSubmit directly to Pixelwerf, not to us. Pixelwerf is responsible for that data and only uses it to get in touch with you.

Cookies

This website does not use tracking or advertising cookies and no analytics services. Read more in our cookie statement.

How long do we keep your data?

  • Requests and conversations that do not lead to an order: no longer than one year after the last contact.
  • Data relating to an order, quote and invoice: as long as the statutory retention period requires (usually seven years).
  • Technical visitor data at our hosting provider: briefly, according to that provider’s retention periods.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict its use, to object to its use and to receive your data in a commonly used format (data portability). Send your request to [email protected]. We respond within one month. To prevent your data from ending up with someone else, we may ask you to confirm your identity — you never need to send us a copy of your ID for this.

If you disagree with how we handle your data, please let us know first; we are happy to find a solution together. You also have the right to file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

Children

Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly process data of children under 16 without permission from a parent or guardian.

Security

The website only works over a secure connection (HTTPS). We keep access to our mailbox and devices as limited as possible and take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss and unauthorised use. Do you suspect misuse? Contact us straight away.

Changes

We may update this privacy policy if our way of working or the law changes. The date at the top shows when it was last updated. This English text is a translation; in case of differences, the Dutch version prevails.
